The Child Health Service was founded on the single premise that reducing Child Abuse in New Zealand was the responsibility of ordinary New Zealanders. The fight against Child Abuse can only be won when everyday people decide to get involved and make a difference.

Much of the efforts of the Child Health Service have been to fund other organisations. In several cases we have been able to provide emergency funding needed to keep valuable services operating through tough times.

While we will continue to assist other organisations, we have also identified initiatives that we can implement ourselves.

The Child Health Service is funded through donations received from everyday people and businesses. No financial assistance is received from the government or other trusts.

The Child Health Services Trust's main focus is to assist organisations to achieve their goals in the following areas

1.0 The development and maintenance of services for training educators to promote the health and welfare of children, youth and young adults.

2.0 The provision of services to promote the health and welfare of children, youth and young adults.

3.0 The encouragement and support of services in the community which meet any of the previously mentioned objectives.

4.0 The encouragement and support of services which provide projects to reduce suicide, accident and abuse of children, youth and young adults.
